Procedure to Apply for Import Export Code (IEC)

For Starting Import Export Business, firstly we have to apply for Import Export Code procedure for which is as follows:-

1)     Go to www.dgft.gov.in

2)     Click Services Tab>>IEC<<IEC Online Application

3)     Online IEC Application window will appear ,’Enter Your PAN’

4)     Enter the details required ‘Name as on PAN ’, ’ Date of Incorporation’

5)     Then, ‘enter your Mobile No and Email ID’ and proceed to ’Enter OTP’

6)     Now follow the below mentioned Steps : –

Step-1 Enter the Entity details, personal details of the Applicant. Once, you have filled all the information click on’ Update and Save’.

Step-2 Enter Branch details of the Entity, if any.

Step-3 Enter details of all the Director/Partner. One shall ‘Add’ details of every director /partner one by one. You can edit and update the same.

Step-4 Next ‘Upload documents’ (address proof, bank certificate/cancelled cheque, signed copy of application, part-c modification form) and select ‘Document Type’. For filing fresh application only two documents are to be uploaded.

Step-5 Pay fees of Rs. 500 and verify the fee paid.

Step-6 Then, ‘Preview and Print Application’

Step-7 Submit by confirming ‘yes’.

If error arises, then try re-login and continue.

Here, your application has been filed.
