If aggregate annual PAN based turnover exceeds Rs. 20 lakhs, Registration under

GST Act is mandatory. In some states, Threshold limit for registration is Rs. 10 Lakhs. In following cases, GST registration is mandatory even if turnover does not exceeds threshold limit :-

  • In case of Inter State (From one state to another) supplier of goods.
  • In case of supplier of goods through an E-Commerce Portal.
  • In case of non resident taxable person
  • If person is liable to pay tax under reverse charge
  • In case of E-commerce Operator who is required to collect TCS.

  • Availability of Input tax credit of taxes paid on the Input goods and/or services which can be utilised for payment of GST due on supply of goods and/or services supplied.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I need to register under GST Act?

Within 30 days from the date when your liability arose (i.e when threshold limit exceeds).

Can duly signed hard copies of registration application be submitted via speed post or in person?

No paper based application will be accepted under GST Regime. It is compulsory to obtain a DSC (in case of company/LLP) or an aadhaar card for E-sign.

How many authorised signatories can be added in the form?

A maximum of 10 Signatories can be added.

Can more than one promoters/partners/director become the primary authorised signatory?

No, you can have only one PRIMARY AUTHORISED SIGNATORY.

Can name of company employees other than promoter/director/partner/Proprietor be added as Authorised Signatories?

Yes, Employee’s name can be added as Authorised Signatory.

How many bank accounts can be added?

Maximum 10 Bank Accounts can be added.

What is the option if business bank account is not opened yet?

Personal Bank Account can be added and updated once business bank account is open.
